March 19, 2024 Synchronous e-Learning Day

03/19/2024

As indicated on the school calendar, March 19 marks an election day, and consequently, students will engage in synchronous e-Learning for the day. A synchronous day means students must go to Google Classroom and click on the Google Meet link to access a live session with their teacher(s). We understand the significance of each day of learning and have thoughtfully crafted a schedule for meaningful instruction, even when not in the physical classroom.

We encourage students to actively participate in this day of learning by logging on and engaging with their teacher(s). We recognize that navigating through e-learning can present challenges. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience as we all adapt to this temporary shift. Please give your child(ren), yourself and our staff grace.

If your child is experiencing difficulties with going to Google Classroom or Google Meet, they should email their teacher directly to problem solve. Additionally, for elementary students experiencing difficulties with internet access or any other concerns, please email your child’s teacher to apprise them of the situation. In the event that logging on proves unsuccessful, we suggest engaging your child in reading, writing, and math activities using materials readily available at home.

For middle and high school students encountering obstacles, we urge them to promptly communicate with their respective teachers and inform them of any difficulties they may be facing.

If your child will not be able to participate in the e-Learning, please report them as absent. The most efficient way to report an absence is in ParentVUE. Please use the notes section to indicate the reason for absence. You can also call your school’s attendance line.

More detailed information about the schedule for the day will be shared by your child’s school. If you would like additional details about e-learning in District 204 please visit the e-Learning webpage. Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth e-Learning day on March 19.
